Unbundled Services

Unbundled services are a great way to save money. You will pick the specific legal services you need help with, and Resolution Family Law will assist specifically with those matters.

At your consultation, we will discuss your matter, and determine a strategy for how the case can best be broken down into steps for unbundling. We will determine what you will need help with and what you will be able to do on your own.

For the tasks you decide to do yourself, you will be provided with self-help resources to guide you. You will pay as you go for the services you choose, rather than having to pay an advance fee deposit (aka retainer).

Some common unbundled services might include:

  • Legal guidance or opinions
  • Drafting pleadings, briefs, declarations or orders
  • Document review
  • Discovery
  • Negotiating
  • Attending mediation
  • Legal research
  • Drafting exhibits
  • Providing guidance on local and state court rules re: service, filing, etc.
  • Prepare documents accurately
  • Select and prepare documents accurately in accordance with local/state court rules

We offer Uncontested Divorce Packages

Uncontested divorce with no children: $595

Uncontested divorce with children: $695

Divorce packages are available to clients whose matter is uncontested (i.e., the parties are in agreement and the other party will not file a response to the divorce claim)
Both parties must have agreed to, and resolved, all issues of parenting, division of property/debt, residential time, child support (per RCW 26.19), etc. Those issues may have been previously decided in a separation agreement, or other temporary orders.

While the parties can communicate directly, only one party can be assisted by Resolution Family Law.  The other party has the option to join the action, and may opt to have outside counsel review the final documents before filing.

If the matter becomes contested at any point, a new fee agreement will need to be drafted.

Taking a matter to trial means costs and stress will escalate greatly. Trials are generally scheduled out a long time and with a trial comes a lot of risk.

By working together through a difficult time, the parties are able to maintain control of the outcome of their legal process. Otherwise, decisions are left to a judge who has only a brief snapshot of the parties and their children and will be making decisions that will have great impact on the lives of all involved. In that situation, there are no winners.

This package includes:

Drafting of petition and summons.

Drafting of all motions, orders, child support, parenting plan, supporting documentation, including the Final Divorce Decree.

This package does not include personal service, filing fees, or costs. Those are the client’s responsible to pay separately.

Legal Coaching
