family Law Done Differently

Future Forward & Resolution Focused

Jaymi T. James LLLT, M.A.
WSBA #188LLLT

Hi, I'm Jaymi...

In my practice, I provide experienced and affordable family law services to help clients navigate the complexities of their unique situation. The first thing I tell my clients is that it is possible to divorce without emotional, mental and financial devastation.

If possible, the best resolve for families is found outside of a courtroom through negotiation, mediation, and collaboration. Each case is unique, and I am here to provide legal advice and advocacy in your time of need.

I work with clients from all over Washington State, providing skilled, affordable legal advice and resolution-focused options.

Is a LLLT Licensed to Practice Family Law?

Yes. The Washington State Supreme Court recognized the need for making quality and affordable family law services available to more people and created the limited license in family law. What LLLTs are licensed, educated, and trained to do, within their scope, is identical to the services clients would receive from a lawyer.

LLLTs must have a 4-year college degree, take an intense one-year University of Washington Law School program in Family Law, have 1,500 hours of practicum, and pass the bar exam.

LLLTs provide the same services as lawyers, within their scope at about half the price. That’s a lot of quality family law advice made affordable.
